How to use your
UltraScope Stethoscope

1. Turn binaurals toward your nose and place in ears. Eartips should seat fully into your ear canal opening.

2. Adjust for comfort.

3. Use LIGHT pressure to start. Pressing harder than necessary will block the very sounds you need to hear!

4. Adjust Pressure.
Holding scope head between your thumb and middle finger, apply (or release) pressure using index finger of the same hand.

For Neonatal model, hold the TUBING between your thumb and middle finger, very gently apply (or release) pressure using your index finger where the tubing joins the head. Gently vary the pressure. Try either method described above depending on size of the patient.

To hear HEART sounds (low frequencies) start with very LIGHT pressure.

To hear LUNG sounds (high frequencies) apply FIRMER pressure.

Use MEDIUM pressure for taking blood pressure readings.

TAKE TIME TO PRACTICE!
